Job: Plumbing and heating - own business
Aim: To get a business plan that I could use to get a loan for my new business

I have been in the plumbing and heating industry for 16 years. Three years ago, I decided to start my own company. Obviously I needed money to grow my business, but my bank needed to see a business plan before they would lend me a penny.

I was really worried: I just didn't know how to get started or what to do. Having met Susan before, I knew that she was a coach so I asked her if she could write a business plan for me.

Susan spent a lot of time with me getting to know my business. She researched my industry and then put together a business plan that was really clear and simple to follow. She even worked with my accountant on the finance elements of the plan. I got the loan I needed.

Importantly, Susan also helped me think ahead. With the break-even analysis she included in the plan I can see day by day whether I am on target. I now have a roadmap that I use to run my business and I haven't missed a goal since.

I had a vision for my company, but working with Susan has shown me that I can achieve what I want, but first I have to plan and decide how I am going to get there.
